How to delete your account and data

You can delete your account in either of these ways:

Option 1 — In the app (recommended)

1. Open Udhar Book and sign in.
2. Go to Settings from the menu.
3. Tap Delete my account and confirm.

Option 2 — By email

Follow these steps to submit a deletion request by email:

1. Send an email from the same Google account email you use to sign in to Udhar Book.
2. Use the subject line: Delete my Udhar Book account.
3. In the message, confirm that you want your account and all associated data permanently deleted.
4. We may reply to verify your identity before processing the request.
5. After verification, we delete your data from our servers. You may also uninstall the app and clear local app data from your device.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove data associated with your account, including:

• Your profile (name, email, Google user ID, and authentication tokens)
• Companies and business profiles you created
• Customer and supplier ledgers, contacts, tags, and notes
• Transactions, amounts, dates, and narrations
• Payment accounts and cash book entries
• Synced server copies of reports and PDFs generated in the app

What may be kept (and for how long)

Data type	Retention
Server backups containing your deleted data	Up to 30 days, then automatically removed
Support emails about your deletion request	Up to 12 months for audit and dispute resolution
Aggregated or anonymised analytics that cannot identify you	May be retained
Records we must keep by law (e.g. tax or legal obligations)	Only as required by applicable law

Data stored only on your device (offline cache) is removed when you uninstall the app or clear app storage in your phone settings.

Processing time

We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is finished.

Partial data deletion

You can delete individual companies, ledgers, transactions, or payment accounts inside the app without deleting your entire account. To remove only specific data, use the delete options in the app or email us with details of what you want removed.

खाता और डेटा कैसे हटाएँ

विकल्प 1 — ऐप में (सुझाया गया)

1. उधार बुक खोलें और साइन-इन करें।
2. मेनू से सेटिंग्स खोलें।
3. मेरा खाता हटाएँ पर टैप करें और पुष्टि करें।

विकल्प 2 — ईमेल से

1. उसी Google ईमेल से मेल भेजें जिससे आप ऐप में साइन-इन करते हैं।
2. विषय (Subject): Delete my Udhar Book account
3. संदेश में लिखें कि आप खाता और सभी डेटा स्थायी रूप से हटाना चाहते हैं।
4. पहचान की पुष्टि के लिए हम जवाब माँग सकते हैं।
5. सत्यापन के बाद सर्वर से डेटा हटा दिया जाएगा। ऐप अनइंस्टॉल करके डिवाइस का स्थानीय डेटा भी हटा सकते हैं।

• प्रोफ़ाइल (नाम, ईमेल, Google ID, साइन-इन टोकन)
• कंपनियाँ और व्यवसाय प्रोफ़ाइल
• ग्राहक / सप्लायर खाते, संपर्क, टैग, नोट्स
• लेनदेन, राशि, तारीख, विवरण
• भुगतान खाते और कैश बुक
• सर्वर पर सिंक किए गए रिपोर्ट / PDF

क्या रखा जा सकता है

• बैकअप में डेटा — अधिकतम 30 दिन, फिर स्वतः हटाया जाता है
• हटाने के अनुरोध से जुड़े सपोर्ट ईमेल — अधिकतम 12 महीने
• अनाम (anonymous) विश्लेषण — पहचान योग्य न हो तो रखा जा सकता है
• कानून द्वारा आवश्यक रिकॉर्ड — जितनी अवधि कानून में हो

फ़ोन पर केवल स्थानीय (offline) डेटा — ऐप अनइंस्टॉल या स्टोरेज साफ़ करने से हट जाता है।

समय सीमा

सत्यापित अनुरोध 30 दिन के अंदर पूरा करने का प्रयास करते हैं। पूरा होने पर पुष्टि ईमेल भेजा जाएगा।

केवल कुछ डेटा हटाना

पूरा खाता हटाए बिना ऐप में अलग-अलग कंपनी, खाता या लेनदेन हटा सकते हैं। विशिष्ट डेटा हटाने के लिए ऐप के delete विकल्प का उपयोग करें या हमें ईमेल करें।
